Patrons of Pro Arte
Patrons is a not-for-profit society formed by parents to support and promote dance and theatre arts in North Vancouver through the training provided at Pro Arté Centre. The Society's responsibility is to seek to encourage leadership in dance and theatre arts and to raise funds to support this effort. Membership in Patrons is provided through a nominal fee paid during the dance class registration process. Parents of Pro Arté dancers are all members of the Patrons of Pro Arté Society! The Board of Patrons of Pro Arté is elected from the membership at the Fall Annual General Meeting of the Society.
Many of the aspects of performance coordination and fundraising activities are managed by parent volunteers mobilized by Patrons. The involvement of all parents is encouraged and most welcome.
There are two reasons why it is important that parents are involved in the activities of the dance studio. First, and perhaps felt more keenly, is that parent volunteers help to keep the fees associated with dance lower. Second, parent involvement allows for parents to be engaged in a part of our children’s world and encourage the learning experience at Pro Arté Centre.
